Did you know that one out of every five school-aged children has a literacy problem? Literacy is a person's knowledge and ability to properly read and write. As children grow, they develop their literacy in phases. These phases are stepping stones that work together so that the child can read, write and speak.
If a child or adult does not obtain the necessary stepping stones for literacy, help may be needed. It's very frustrating and difficult to function in society without literacy, so we strive to help our patients overcome their literacy problems. We want to prevent any long-term effects on the patient.
