Columbus Speech & Hearing Center participates with most major insurance companies, including Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, United Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Before scheduling evaluations, we request a copy of all insurance cards to ensure we have the correct identification number, group number and claims address. We recommend that all patients call their insurance company to determine their benefits, deductible amounts and if any referrals are required. We request that all deductibles and co-pays be paid at the time service is rendered.
Payment plans are possible through CareCredit™, an instant credit program. CareCredit functions much like a department store credit card. An application is completed and faxed to CareCredit. They respond in a few minutes, indicating if the applicant qualifies for their payment plan. If accepted, the patient makes payments to CareCredit instead of Columbus Speech & Hearing Center. This plan is particularly popular with some hearing aid patients.
Hearing aids are a covered benefit under some insurance plans. Columbus Speech & Hearing Center will work with patients to help determine if they are eligible for insurance coverage and to what extent. The patient must make this request before purchasing a hearing aid.
